2022/2023 Degree and Diploma Courses


1.1.1 Undergraduate Courses

1.1.1.1 One-year Undergraduate Diploma to start in January 2023 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering working towards BEng (Hons) Degree. This consists of 10 Modules and 1500 hours of Study.

1.1.1.2 One-year Undergraduate Diploma to start in October 2023 in Mechanical Engineering leading to BEng (Hons) Degree. This consists of 10 Modules and 1500 hours of Study.

1.1.1.3 BSc (Hons) Computer Science to begin October 2022 This consists of 10 Modules and 1500 hours of Study.

The essential entry requirements into the Diploma in any of the Engineering courses; and BSc Computer Science Degree course are:

1. General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A Level) passes in three subjects including Mathematics.

2. Alternatively, a National BTEC qualifications Level 3 of the grades MPP (Merit-Pass-Pass) in Engineering, IT or Computer Science or a combination of National BTEC in Engineering/Computer Science/IT and Science Level 3 and MPP (Merit-Pass-Pass).

3. A combination of Merit-Pass in BTEC Engineering and an A Level pass in Mathematics or Further Mathematics. Other equivalent qualifications will be accepted.

4. In addition, the potential candidate must pass in at least four General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level or General Certificate of School Education (GCSE) subjects or their equivalents including a minimum of a pass at the C grade or the equivalence in both the subjects of English Language and Mathematics. The British Council in the home country organises equivalent English as a Foreign Language (EFL) tests at the appropriate levels.

5. Consideration will be given to mature students with work experience or who wish to return to education and with the required Mathematics and English Language Level 2 qualifications.

6. Those who do not meet the direct entry requirements may enrol on a fast-track access qualification.

7. Holders of the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in the appropriate Engineering discipline.

8. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in the appropriate Engineering discipline can join the Second Year in either BEng in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering courses next academic year.

1.1.2 Postgraduate Courses and their Entry Requirements 1.1.2.1 Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) 12 Months Course. Holders of a Bachelor’s Degrees in Business or Management, and at least two years of work experience in management or a related sector. Alternatively, holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in the same or related discipline at Honours Level.

1.1.2.2 MSc in Computer Science 12 -24 months’ course. Holders of a Bachelor’s Degrees in Computer Science, IT or Electrical Engineering, and at least two years of work experience in management or related sector. Alternatively, holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in the same disciplines at Honours Level.

1.2 Tuition Fees The annual tuition fee is £6495 per annum for the Undergraduate Engineering and Computer Science Degree and Diploma courses.

The annual tuition fee is £6995 per annum for the MBA and MSc Degree courses. Students can pay on module-by-module basis. Students can also take a single module 6 Credits of 150 hours, 1 Credit lasting 25 hours, 3 Credits of 75 hours.
